Unfortunately we could not celebrate his 8 months on the right day, because there are only 28 days in February. Having no party was not an option, so we celebrated it on Sunday the 28th of February and on Monday the first of March.
This month we had all kind of weathers. It was like “Four seasons in one month”. We had real snow for a few days, which is very rare in Belgium. Normally if it snows here, it is more rainy snow and now it remained for a few days. We went on beautiful snow walks and we tested what Oscar thought of the snow. He actually liked it. We also had some rainy days and the last week it was such wonderful weather. It was really sunny. Unfortunately all three of us were sick at the beginning of the week, but at the weekend we finally found time to go on lovely walks in the sun with Oscar and Monday evening we even went to “Planckendael” (the zoo).
Our cat, Herr Erwin Schrödinger, is starting to taunt Oscar. When Oscar is crawling around, Erwin is always waiting for him and every time Oscar gets closer, he goes a little bit further where he waits for Oscar again. It is really cute to see how those two play together.

Oscar also got to celebrate his first Carnaval at daycare and as you could read in my last post “The Lion sleeps Tonight” , he went as a little lion.
He’s starting to push himself up on his feet and trying to rock foward and back like that. He does it all the time in his bed, so we had to put his bed down.
As I said before, on Monday evening we went to the zoo. We only went for half an hour, because it was almost closed, but we have a membership and it is only a 10 minute walk for us, so it is always worth to go for us. Unfortunately since the pandemic you have to book in advance during the weekends, so we don’t go as much as before. I hope that will change soon, because I don’t like to plan those trips in advance.
And this is what happens when you party too hardy…
